James Hazelwood
Director / Builder
James grew up on building sites, working alongside his father and learning the craft from the ground up.
Building has always felt instinctive — a profession shaped by experience, discipline, and genuine care for the finished result.
Since establishing Hazelwood Homes in 2011, James has focused on delivering projects that prioritise sustainability, performance, and architectural integrity. As a certified Passive House Tradesperson and long-term participant in HIA Greensmart programs, he remains committed to refining both process and outcome with each project undertaken.
His role extends beyond construction. James works closely with clients, consultants, and designers to ensure the architectural intent is preserved while practical execution remains precise and considered.
This measured approach allows each home to be realised with care and clarity — constructed with discipline, transparency, and long-term performance in mind.
Haylee Hazelwood
Operations
Haylee leads operations across the business, ensuring each project is supported by structure, clarity, and consistency. From scheduling and financial oversight to workflow refinement and client communication, her role is integral to the smooth progression of every build.
Working closely with the broader Hazelwood team, Haylee brings balance and organisation to the construction process — reinforcing the collaborative nature of the business and the attention to detail that defines our work.
Based on the Mornington Peninsula, James and Haylee are proud to build within the community they call home.
Adam Battams
Project Manager
Adam oversees the day-to-day delivery of our projects, ensuring each build progresses with structure, clarity, and momentum. Working closely with trades, suppliers, and consultants, he maintains consistent communication across site to keep programs on track and standards upheld.
With a disciplined approach to coordination and detail, Adam ensures construction is not only efficient, but considered. His role is central to preserving design intent while navigating the practical realities of site conditions and sequencing. Clients can feel confident knowing their project is managed with precision, accountability, and steady oversight.
